Caitlin Ludington, PT, DPT, SCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy | Sports Clinical Specialist | Covington
Caitlin is a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, a credential held by a small fraction of physical therapists nationwide. She earned it through a full year-long sports residency after her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of South Carolina, with mentorship, sideline coverage, and physician shadowing all aimed at one thing: getting athletes back to competition safely.
She has spent her career in the Puget Sound area since, treating in Renton, Puyallup, Kent, and Bellevue, and serving as a clinic director where she mentored other clinicians. She has worked sidelines alongside athletic trainers, managing emergent injuries and guiding return to play decisions, including for athletes recovering from concussion.
Her toolkit is broad and specific. Caitlin is endorsed by Washington State in spinal manipulation, certified as a POSE Method running technique specialist, and certified in the Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete for barbell and CrossFit athletes. She has led labs for residents on running mechanics, lifting, and concussion, and presented her research at the American Physical Therapy Association's Combined Sections Meeting.
Sport is her own background too. Caitlin has coached swimming and directed USA Volleyball sanctioned tournaments. She understands the season on the line.
