Text Messaging (SMS) Terms & Conditions

HIDEF Physical Therapy & HIDEF Sports & Physical Therapy Effective Date: October 19, 2026 Last Updated: October 19, 2026

1. Program Name and Description

Program name: HIDEF Physical Therapy Text Messaging Program Brand: HIDEF Physical Therapy

HIDEF Physical Therapy and HIDEF Sports & Physical Therapy (collectively, "HIDEF," "we," "our," or "us") offer a text messaging program (the "Program") so we can communicate with you about your care and your relationship with HIDEF. By opting in to the Program, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy at https://www.hidefpt.com/privacy.

2. Types of Messages You May Receive

Depending on what you opt in to, you may receive the following types of text messages from HIDEF:

  • Appointment messages — confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, cancellations, and waitlist openings

  • Care-related messages — intake paperwork reminders, post-visit check-ins, home exercise program reminders, and outcome surveys

  • Account and billing messages — insurance benefit updates, balance notices, and payment reminders

  • Conversational messages — replies to questions you text to us or requests you submit on our website ("Questions? Call or Text Us Today")

  • Informational messages — clinic closures, weather delays, and other service updates

  • Promotional messages (only if you separately opt in) — occasional news about HIDEF services, events, workshops, and special offers

We will only send promotional or marketing messages if you have given us separate, express consent to receive them. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care or purchasing any goods or services from HIDEF.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your appointments, your care plan, and your interactions with us. Most patients receive a few messages per week around scheduled visits. We will not send you more messages than reasonably necessary to communicate about your care and your account.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging and data charges from your wireless carrier may apply to every message sent and received. Please contact your wireless carrier if you have questions about your text messaging or data plan.

5. How to Opt Out (Stop Messages)

You can stop receiving text messages from HIDEF at any time:

  • To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any text message from HIDEF. You will receive one final confirmation message letting you know you have been unsubscribed, and then no further messages will be sent to that number.

  • You may also unsubscribe by emailing business@hidefpt.com or calling (206) 693-9929 and asking to be removed from text messaging.

If you opt out, we will still contact you using other methods you have approved (such as phone or email) for essential care and account matters. You can opt back in at any time by texting START to the same number or by letting our front desk know.

6. How to Get Help

For help at any time, reply HELP to any text message from HIDEF. You can also:

7. How You Opt In

You may be enrolled in the Program when you:

  • Check the text messaging consent box on a form on www.hidefpt.com

  • Provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages on your intake or registration paperwork

  • Verbally agree to receive text messages when scheduling with our team

  • Text us first at one of our clinic numbers (which enrolls you in conversational replies only)

We keep a record of when and how you opted in.

8. Your Mobile Information Is Not Shared for Marketing

Your mobile phone number and your text messaging opt-in consent are used only to operate this Program. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with service providers who help us deliver messages (for example, our text messaging platform) is permitted solely so they can provide that service to us, and they are not allowed to use your information for their own purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with any third party. For full details, see our Privacy Policy at https://www.hidefpt.com/privacy.

9. Supported Carriers and Carrier Liability

The Program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless carrier and may not be available in all areas at all times.

10. Health Information and Text Messaging

Text messages are not a secure or encrypted form of communication. Messages may be viewed by anyone with access to your phone and may be stored on systems we do not control. By opting in, you acknowledge these risks and agree that HIDEF may send you appointment, care, and account information by text. If you prefer that we not include health-related details in text messages, or that we contact you only by another method, you may request confidential communications as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, available at https://www.hidefpt.com/privacy. Information about your care is protected health information under HIPAA and is handled according to that Notice.

11. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or be the parent or legal guardian of a minor patient, to opt in to the Program. By opting in, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number provided and that you are authorized to approve the charges that may apply.

12. Changes to the Program or These Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Program, or update these Terms & Conditions, at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Your continued participation in the Program after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you no longer agree, reply STOP to opt out.
