Sports Injury Rehabilitation

We help 1000's of athletes and active individuals each year.

Sports injuries don’t just sideline your body, they can shake your confidence and momentum. At HIDEF Physical Therapy, sports rehab isn’t generic rehab with a new label. It’s a performance-driven system built by athletes and sports medicine specialists who understand what it takes to return to play at full speed.

Every therapist at HIDEF is trained in advanced return-to-sport principles, strength and conditioning, and load management science. We’ve built a specialized Sports Rehab Protocol that bridges the gap between the training room and the playing field.

What does that look like?

We integrate the latest performance technology—force-plate testing, dynamometry, and blood-flow restriction training—to measure progress and build resilience. Our process is data-driven, so when you’re cleared to play, you know you’re ready. We don’t guess; we test, train, and track your recovery every step of the way.

Whether you’re chasing a scholarship, a PR, or your next weekend tournament, we’ll help you rebuild strength, power, and confidence so you can get back to doing what you love, better than before.

FAQ

Q1: What is sports rehab and who is it for?

Sports rehab restores strength, power, mobility, and confidence so active people and athletes can return to sport safely. It fits weekend warriors, high school and college athletes, and pros.

Q2: How is sports rehab different from regular physical therapy?

We train the specific demands of your sport. Sessions progress from pain control and movement quality to strength, plyometrics, change of direction, and conditioning that match your position and season.

Q3: How do you decide when I am ready to return to sport?

We use objective criteria such as strength symmetry, hop testing, force-plate metrics, movement quality under fatigue, and practice progressions. Clearance is criteria based, not just time based.

Q4: What tests do you use?

Depending on the injury and sport, we use dynamometry, hop tests, counter-movement jump and RSI, force-time curves, balance and Y-balance, and workload tolerance from practice.

Q5: How long will sports rehab take?

Timelines vary by injury and sport. Many soft tissue injuries recover in 6 to 12 weeks. Post-op cases commonly require several months. We share projected ranges and update based on criteria.

Q6: Will I be doing lifts, plyometrics, and sprint work?

Yes, when appropriate. We build a foundation first, then progress to power, plyometrics, tempo and acceleration work, and change of direction that reflects your sport and season.

Q7: How often are sessions and what happens between visits?

Q8: Do you coordinate with coaches and athletic trainers?

Yes. With your permission we align rehab, practice loads, and return-to-play progressions with your coach or AT to reduce re-injury risk.
