Golf Injury Rehabilitation

Injuries are very common in all levels of golfers. Some golf injuries are due to overuse. These types of injuries typically come on slowly over time but can lead to pain that keeps you from being able to be active. Sports injury rehabilitation is a specialized form of rehab that focuses on return to performance in whatever sport you are doing. This will include individualized exercises that focus on sports specific movements. Some of these conditions include:

  • Tennis Elbow (lateral epicondylitis)

  • Golfers elbow (medial epicondylitis)

  • Disc injury

  • Wrist sprain

  • Shoulder impingement

Other times golfers can experience an acute injury such as a strained muscles, torn ligament, or sprained joint. Some of the common ones we see in our clinic include:

  • Rotator cuff strain

  • Low back strain

  • TFCC sprain

  • UCL (ulnar collateral ligament strain)

  • Ankle sprains

Our sports injury rehabilitation Bellevue can help you not only recover from these types of injuries but will also help to prevent future occurrence. Sports physical therapy is much different than traditional physical therapy because of the goals and level of performance needed to return to the field after injury.

It is important to find a sports therapist for these types of injuries. Our specialists will be able to help you map the exact plan to get you back to the field at maximal performance.

Treatment of golf injury

Golf Performance Optimization

At HIDEF Physical Therapy we will work with your golf coach and golf trainer to help you optimize your performance and decrease your chance of injury. We know that if you have better mobility of the hips and thoracic spine you will be less likely to injure your lower back while swinging. We can help to identify areas that could be potentially problematic and provide strength exercises as well as stretches to address these areas.
