Becca Shoemaker PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy | Renton
Dr. Becca is an experienced physical therapist serving the Renton community with care across sports rehab, post-operative recovery, acute injury, and chronic pain management. Her approach centers on open communication, shared decision making, and building an individualized plan around each patient's specific goals. At our Renton physical therapy clinic, she treats patients of all ages and functional levels — from competitive athletes to adults navigating long-term conditions — with the same emphasis on education, self-efficacy, and measurable progress.
Before joining HIDEF Physical Therapy in Renton, Becca spent over five years in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy in the greater Seattle area, most recently as Clinic Manager at a Mercer Island practice. In that role she led clinical and front office staff, mentored newly hired physical therapists, served as a clinical instructor for student PTs, and coordinated regional staff development around current research. That leadership experience shapes how she works with Renton-area patients today: collaborative, organized, and committed to keeping rehab grounded in evidence.
Dr. Becca earned her BS in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition from George Mason University, where she competed as a pole vaulter on the track and field team. Her love of sport and passion for strength and conditioning — including a summer interning with Georgetown University's strength and conditioning staff — led her to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Marymount University. She brings that S&C foundation directly into her work as a Renton physical therapist, with a particular interest in dynamometry and objective performance testing to guide return-to-sport and return-to-life decisions for athletes and active adults throughout South King County.
Whether you're recovering from surgery, managing a sports injury, or working through persistent pain, Dr. Becca and the HIDEF team in Renton are here to help you get back to what you love.
