Farzana Mohamedali, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Farzana is a Husky twice over, earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy and her degree in biology and physiology at the University of Washington. Her clinical training covered unusual ground for a sports therapist. She managed caseloads in inpatient neurological rehab with stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury patients, then spent a rotation in Truckee, California treating skiers, snowboarders, and cyclists, using force plate data and handheld dynamometry to guide return to sport decisions. That range shows up in how she reads a case.
She treats in English, Spanish, and Gujarati, which means more patients get their care in the language they actually think in. She also brings a research background. Farzana is a published co-author on cardiac imaging research and won Best Platform presentation in the Cardiopulmonary Division at the American Physical Therapy Association's Combined Sections Meeting.
The outdoors is her own arena. Farzana competed nationally as co-captain of the UW sailing team, holds an AIARE 1 avalanche certification, and has summited every volcano in Washington. She knows what it takes to train for a mountain and what it costs to lose a season to injury.
