Johnny Tseng, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Johnny’s passion for physical therapy began in high school when he joined the football team freshman year. In college, he walked on to play for the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas - Austin and completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Biology.
Our Seattle physical therapist Dr. Johnny Tseng continued his graduate studies at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. His areas of interests included manual therapy techniques, dry needling, sports performance for patients with orthopedic/sports injury, and adolescent health and wellness. In one of his final clinical internships, Johnny trained under a Orthopedic Board Certified Specialist from the Texas Orthopedic Hospital. This mentor was also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
After completing his degree, being a traveler at heart, Johnny took on the opportunity to practice in the east coast with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare in South Carolina. With partnerships with local colleges and high schools such as Wofford college and Upstate College, Johnny began his career working with athletes and developed specific interest in sports rehabilitation. After working in South Carolina, Johnny took a job in Eastern Washington and Oregon in outpatient physical therapy clinics focused on serving the community with strong ties to local high schools. From student athletes to general laborers, he worked closely with each individual to help them achieve their goals in physical wellness and performance.
As a new physical therapist to HIDEF and the Greater Seattle Area, Johnny is excited to share his knowledge, skills and experiences to help all individuals grow and evolve in their athletic journey.
